Computer Technician Professional Achievement Award

This program is designed for aspiring IT professionals who wish to learn more about networking and personal computer troubleshooting necessary to become an entry-level computer technician. The program also serves to prepare participants to take industry certifications as A+ and Network+ certified professionals. More information about those certifications is available at www.comptia.org.

Objectives
This program provides hands-on practical training for participants to support personal computers and local computer networks. The program is very practical in its orientation as participants work to build and repair personal computers, identify how computer networks operate and how to troubleshoot both computers and networks. The program provides the necessary skills and training to prepare for an entry-level position as a computer technician.

Who Can Benefit
Aspiring IT professionals who wish to learn the networking and personal computer troubleshooting skills needed to become an entry-level computer technician. This is also a field that can be explored to further understand how computers and networks function and how to build and support home computers and small business or home networks.
