1. How long will it take to complete the program?
Each course is offered one time per year. It will take about 15 months to complete the entire program.
2. Do you provide job placement?
No, UCR Extension is not funded to provide job placement. Networking within the courses often yields excellent contacts for job seekers.
3. Is an internship required?
There is no internship required. All the student must do is complete the academic coursework with a grade of C or better.
4. Do I need to be a nurse to take this program?
Yes, all participants must be registered nurses with at least an AA degree.
5. How long do I have to complete the program?
You must complete the program within five years of enrollment of the first course or submittal of certificate enrollment form, whichever is sooner.
6. Are all courses online?
All courses will be offered online or in some other distance education format. Some may be scheduled in a Webcast format where the course is taught live and others may be offered entirely online with 24/7 access to the course material (no live presentation). Details are provided with the course information when the course is scheduled.
7. Do I need to come to Riverside to take these courses? I live out of state.
No, all courses are offered online or with other distance education technology. All you need is your computer and access to the Internet. There are no geographic boundaries.
