Plan ahead!
GIS Summer School 2009
July 6 - August 27
For more information, e-mail sciences or
add yourself to our e-mail list.
Earn the GIS Certificate in one summer.
During the GIS Summer School
you receive instruction in the entire certificate program curriculum, which consists of individual courses totaling 24 units. The eight-week program is divided into two sessions. A one-week break between the sessions allows for a return to work or time to complete required assignments. This intensive format makes the GIS Summer School particularly attractive to people who live some distance from UCR Extension and to those who have the summer open for continuing education.
Program requirements
To earn the certificate, participants must earn
a grade of C or better (or a "pass" where applicable) in all
courses.
A GIS Summer School Application is required and should be submitted before or concurrently with enrollment into the program.
It is highly recommended that students purchase and use an external hard drive for storing personal data.
Professional
credit
Successful participants will earn 24 units of
University Extension credit.
