International Education Programs offers a range of academic, professional and postgraduate programs that have flexible admission requirements and allow students to earn a highly valued University of California Certificate or Diploma without having to meet the strict admission requirements for undergraduate and graduate study.
The academic, professional and postgraduate programs are designed for advanced speakers of English who wish to study a specialized area to enhance their skills and expand their educational or professional experience.
Academic Programs
University Admission Preparation Program (UAPP)
is an advanced academic preparation program developed to help participants become successful undergraduate or graduate students in a North American university. Students can explore a wide variety of academic courses and get a solid foundation for academic study.
University Credit Program (UCP)
Study with American students. If you are enrolled in an academic program, you have the opportunity to study with American students by taking University of California, Riverside, Extension classes or University of California, Riverside, undergraduate or graduate classes.
(Subject to availability. Selection can not be guaranteed. You must meet any prerequisite requirements. MBA classes require additional fees.)

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Certificate Program (TESOL)
is a comprehensive teacher development program that allows current teachers or prospective teachers planning to teach abroad to understand the most
up-to-date North American teaching trends and methods and earn an internationally recognized teaching certificate.
Academic-year Certificate Programs (AYCP)
are designed for high school graduates and business professionals and include 9 months full-time study in an evening format in a wide variety of professional areas, leading to a University of California, Riverside, Extension certificate.
Postgraduate Diplomas in Hospitality (PGDHM) and Business Management ( PGDM)
are postgraduate-level programs that are recognized alternatives to an MBA or graduate program and offer comprehensive postgraduate-level study that prepare students to work anywhere in the world and include an opportunity for one year of optional practical training in the US.
Global Nursing Review Program (GNRP)
assists international nursing professionals to develop a clear understanding of the philosophy and practice of nursing in the US, provides experience working in a US hospital or clinic, prepares participants for the NCLEX-RN examination and improves international employment possibilities.
