Program Modules - Internship Participants who successfully complete the Fundamentals of Global Hospitality Management and/or Advanced Global Hospitality Management may participate in the internship program which provides placement in the hospitality industry. The internship includes both work and academic components. Participants are not guaranteed a particular job or company, but we will try our best to satisfy your preferences. If you are applying for an F-1 student visa, it is advisable to apply for the program you choose plus the internship program at the same time.
8-WEEK INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Participants will be expected to work 20-40 hours per week (unpaid) and complete assigned papers and projects. Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to their worksite. APPLICATION DEADLINE Application deadline for the Internship Program is one month before the starting date of the program. Participants must submit an up-to-date resume, a cover letter and an “Internship Request Form.” OPTIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING (OPT) Upon successful completion of the three quarters of the Global Hospitality Management, program in consecutive order, F-1 international students may be eligible for up to 12 months of temporary employment in United States. Participants will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (paid). Salaries will be equivalent to salaries paid to US employees with similar education and experience. |
