Designed for students with bachelor’s degrees in any area, the University of California, Riverside, Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Management (PGDHM) is a comprehensive 9-month program, offered in academic partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.

First Quarter – Fundamentals of Global Hospitality Management
Module 1 – Introduction to the Hospitality Industry
Module 2 – Managing Front Office Operations
Module 3 – Managing Housekeeping Operations
Module 4 – Management of Food and Beverage Operation
Module 5 – Managing Human Resources in the Hospitality Industry

Postgraduate Certificate in Hospitality Management
Students who successfully complete the five required modules of the Fundamentals of Global Hospitality are eligible to receive a University of California Postgraduate Certificate (PGCHM) in Hospitality Management.
The Certificate Program is the first part of the diploma program and is offered in five 2-week modules. Participants can take one or more individual modules or the full certificate program. Certificate graduates are not eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Optional Practical Training (OPT)
Students who successfully complete the full dual diploma program may be eligible for up to 12 months of temporary employment in the United States. Salaries will be equivalent to salaries paid to US employees with similar education and experience.
Experienced Instructors
Courses are taught by faculty and professionals in the hospitality industry, giving you real-world business practices and insight into the most current global business practices.
Dual Diplomas
Students who successfully complete the full academic requirements for the Hospitality Management program will receive a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of California, Riverside, and a Diploma from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.

Hospitality Diploma

Program Highlights
