Unix/Linux System Administration

Participants in this program develop critical UNIX/Linux system administration skills including installation, programming and application development; web support; administration; back-up and recovery; optimization and security. This is one of the most comprehensive system administration programs students will find and provides participants access to a wealth of resources surrounding open-source development, administration and support.

When is it offered? September to June
Required proficiency: minimum TOEFL® score of 523 (paper)/193 (computer), TOEIC® score of 700 or above, TSE® score of 45 or above and be at the 600 level of UC Riverside Extension’s Intensive English Program or equivalent.

Tuition
The tuition for the entire 36-week (about nine months) program is (please see Dates & Fees page) .
Application Deadline
Application deadline is one month before the starting date of the program.
Optional Practical Training
Upon completion of an Academic-year Certificate Program, you may be eligible for up to a year of Optional Practical Training (OPT) at an American company.
