Riverside International Transfer Track

The Riverside International Transfer Track (ITT) is a cooperative program between two California state institutions: University of California, Riverside (UCR), and Riverside Community College (RCC). For students who either are not eligible or choose not to enter UC Riverside directly from high school, this program offers an opportunity to transfer to UCR after two years at RCC and then graduate from UCR after an additional two years.

STEP 1 – Complete the University Preparation Program (UPP)
Study at International Education Programs (IEP), UCR, in Riverside or Beijing. Those not at the advanced level required for UPP may enroll in Intensive English prior to entering the ITT. Earn University of California transferable credit (4 units per eligible program/level)
  • In Riverside, students may also take an undergraduate UCR class with Americans for fully transferable credit (4 units)
STEP 2 – Transfer to RCC for two years

Requirements for admission to RCC:

  • High school diploma
  • 450 TOEFL or successful completion of UPP or of the 600 level of the Intensive English Program
  • No GPA
  • No SAT or ACT exams

STEP 3 – Meet requirements to transfer to UCR

  • Pass 60 semester UC transferable units of classes including English 1A & 1B at RCC (2 years)
  • Pass lower division classes required for your major field of study
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA at RCC

STEP 4 – Transfer to UCR

STEP 5 – Pass 90 quarter units required for graduation at UCR (2 years)

STEP 6 – Graduate from UCR with B.A. or B.S.

This International Transfer Track through International Education Programs at UCR gives serious students who are not eligible as freshmen or who desire extra preparation the opportunity to graduate from one of the best universities in the United States.
