Registration 101: How to Have a Great First Day of Class

Pick a class:

• Remember – all classes are open to everyone. A college degree is not required.
• Find a class in our online catalog or request a free catalog.

Enrollment is easy:

• Online, please visit our online catalog. We accept MasterCard and VISA. You will receive e-mail confirmation of your online enrollment.
• By phone, call (951) 827-4105 or toll-free (800) 442-4990 to register. We accept MasterCard and VISA. We'll ask you for the priority code, located on the enrollment form.
• By mail, complete the enrollment form. Don't forget your check or VISA/MasterCard authorization. Use a separate sheet for each person enrolling.
• In person, come to UCR Extension Center.

Pay to park:

• Patrolled, well-lit parking is available in the Extension Center parking structure and in the adjacent surface parking lots.
• Parking permits are required to park at Extension seven days a week from 8 am to 10 pm.

Prepare for the drive:

• Caltrans is working on a major highway project on approximately six miles of Interstate 215 and short segments of State Routes 60 and 91 near UCR Extension Center. To avoid unpleasant surprises, check for traffic updates at http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist8/projects/riverside/6091215/index.htm.
  

Find your classroom:

• Classroom assignments are posted daily in the front lobby and on each floor at the parking structure entrance.
• Room changes or cancellations will be posted outside the classroom.
• Classrooms are opened 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled time of the class.

Grab a snack:

• You can purchase meals, snacks and drinks at the Extension Café located on the first floor.
• A myriad of restaurants, eateries and coffee shops can be found right across the street at University Village.
  

Buy your books:

• Unless specified, Extension no longer has a preferred provider or bookstore for required texts. We now provide you with the text title and the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) to help you shop competitively for texts. For required text titles and ISBNs, please check course listings in the Extension catalog and/or your enrollment confirmation.
